Arsenal are keen to make a swoop for Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo in the transfer window this summer.
The Gunners were interested to sign the player back in the January transfer window and even had negotiations with Juventus. However, the talks between the two parties fell through with no concrete developments on the move away from Turin.
The Bianconeri side recently made an addition to their midfield with the likes of Paul Pogba returning from Manchester United. This could mean that Melo could slip down the pecking order under manager Massimiliano Allegri in the forthcoming season.
Moreover, the case regarding the potential exit has been made stronger after the Brazilian was excluded from the pre-season squad.
Melo could join Arsenal
Arsenal have been interested to land the midfielder to the Emirates, however, in the past things have not worked out. However, the case might be slightly different this time around as the player is keen to make an exit this summer.
The Gunners have held a strong position in the transfer market making some vital signings ahead of the new season. With few weeks still to go before the window concludes, Arsenal are hoping to bolster the midfield.
However, they face stiff competition from Roma and his former club Gremio in the race to sign Melo this summer. The Serie A outfit would consider letting the player go if a bid in the region of £25.6 million comes arriving.
Moreover, the Turin club will let him go on a loan with an option to buy in the transfer window. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may consider the loan option this summer if he wants to land the Brazilian at Emirates.
Things regarding a potential move could unfold in the coming weeks for Arsenal and Melo.
