Arsenal could bring in 35M “Goal-Machine”

About Football Express UK

Arsenal have shown interest in signing PSV winger Cody Gakppo. Gakpo has a price tag of around 33.5 to 35M and Arsenal are considering triggering it. Although there are reports that PSV wants more than the set price for the winger.

Gakpo has had a fruitful season as he scored 21 goals and 15 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions for PSV. Arsenal have had a decent transfer window where they have brought in the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Fabio Viera. However, The Gunners still lack an experienced winger. Arsenal target Gakpo who has the potential of fulfilling the role Nicholas Pepe was never able to fulfill.

Fabrizio Romano on the news

Fabrizio Romano had reported earlier that PSV would be open to selling Gakpo for a fee around the region of 34M. However, as of the moment they want a much bigger fee.

“At the moment, despite some speculation involving Arsenal, the situation is quiet around Cody Gakpo. He has always been on the list for Leeds United, but not in the first position, just after Luis Sinisterra, who was a priority of the club.

PSV Eindhoven are hoping to keep him and his price tag has always been around €40-45m. He may be a name to monitor in the coming weeks as a big opportunity for many clubs. But PSV manager Ruud van Nistelrooy hopes to keep him at the club.”

Arsenal should go after the winger as he is a very talented player and brings in much-needed output. Arsenal have the likes of Nicholas Pepe in the squad who had a price tag of 75M. However, he has not done any justice to his price tag. As is the case Arsenal needs a replacement and Gakpo seems a good player.
