Sevilla are weighing up a bid for Albert Sambi Lokonga. Arsenal ready to move the midfielder on in the summer. That is according to a report from the Daily Mail, which suggests that Burnley are already eyeing the 23-year-old. They are on their way to their return to the Premier League.

It is fair to say that things haven’t quite worked out for him at Arsenal. He was always consider as a backup to Thomas Partey. He really hasn’t grown under Mikel Arteta. Lokonga due to his inconsistent performances fell down the pecking order. Mohammed Elneny replaced his spot. Arteta was never gonna risk playing him while they were in a title charge. He have been then loaned out to Crystal Palace.
It has been a decent loan for him at Crystal Palace but nothing outstanding. The former Arsenal midfielder, Patrick Vieira, helped him a lot. But he was sacked later and was replaced by Roy Hudson. However, Lokonga played his part in Crystal Palace staying up.
It is fair to say that life in London has not gone to plan for Albert Sambi Lokonga. There was plenty of enthusiasm when he arrived at the Emirates having previously captained Anderlecht. He is still only 23. But it would appear that Arsenal are planning to cut their losses with Sambi Lokonga.
Previous reports from The Sun have suggested that Burnley want Lokonga. Vincent Kompany was keen to be reunited with the youngster he previously labelled ‘special‘. Sevilla certainly have a decent amount of former Premier League players on their books. And they could be able to offer Sambi Lokonga Champions League football next year.
